Protein Society 22nd Annual Symposium The 22nd Annual Symposium of The Protein Society will be held in July 19-23, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego in San Diego, California.

The meeting theme is Proteins: Machines of Life. Two Plenary Sessions will be featured on the topics of “Nucleic Acid Motors” and “Protein Motors.” Jane Richardson (Duke University) will be the featured speaker at the Awards Banquet of the 22nd Annual Symposium of The Protein Society. The symposium will also feature sessions on complex multiprotein systems, including advances in structure determination, proteomics, and systems biology.

The symposium offers young investigators excellent opportunities for their submitted abstracts to be selected for recognition and presentation, which can facilitate career and networking prospects.

The 22nd Annual Symposium will again feature The Protein Society Graduate Program Fair. This popular event caters to students who are interested in pursuing training and careers in protein science. Students will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from institutions with graduate programs that register to participate in the fair.

30th European Peptide Symposium 30th European Peptide Symposium will be held in held in Helsinki,Finland between 31 August - 5 September 2008 organized by the Finnish Peptide Society.

Peptide Chemistry in Finland is strongly associated with new trends in life sciences, including: phage-displayed peptide libraries in drug development and diagnostics enterprising; peptide arrays in peptide serology and peptide-protein interaction research; fluorescence labeling of peptides in high-throughput assay developments. These trends will inevitably be reflected in the 30EPS program.

30EPS will be under the auspices of the European Peptide Society. The symposium will be an excellent possibility for researchers to sustain and create contacts among experts from various fields of peptide chemistry.

The venue for 3oth peptide symposium is Finland Hall. Finlandia Hall is the leading concert and congress venue in Helsinki. Centrally placed yet set amid park-like surroundings, it is an excellent environment for concerts, conferences and exhibitions. In other words, it could not be better located. The satellite meeting on Cell Penetrating Peptides (CPP) will be held at Biomedicum Helsinki on Saturday-Sunday, 30-31 August 2008 (before the 30EPS).

Participants should register online through internet. Deadline for early registration is10 June 2008.
